Registration:

        We will be accepting entries at the Ellerbe Springs Inn Friday night from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. during the pasta dinner and again race morning from 7:00 until 7:30 a.m.  Shirts will be ordered based on the number of pre-registered runners.  There will be a few extra shirts but late registrants are not guaranteed a finisher shirt or a specific size shirt.  There should be plenty of medals.
 
Registration fee $45.00 until 6th of February
Registration fee $55.00 until 20th of February
Registration fee $65.00 until 27th of February on Active.com
Registration fee is $75.00 after the 27th of February and on Race morning.
5 to 9 year race veterans get a $5.00 discount on registration.
10 year and above race veterans get a $10.00 discount on registration

Course Description:
        The course is USATF certified [NC-05006-PH] and is a Boston qualifier.  It is a loop starting and finishing near the Ellerbe Springs Inn.  The first 1/4th mile and the last 1/4th mile are gravel.  Everything else is a paved rural state roads running by many farms and large tracks of uninhabited woodland.  Most runners consider this a hilly course.  There are 11 aid stations at approximately 3-mile intervals.  Station 1 will be water only.  All other stations will have water and an electrolyte drink.

Accommodations:
        Fifteen rooms are available at the Ellerbe Springs Inn and Restaurant.  Also camping is available at the Inn.  Call the Ellerbe Springs Inn at 1-800-248-6467  or 910-652-5600 for information about staying there.  Other accommodations are available in Rockingham (12 miles away).  Call 1-800-858-1688 for information about other lodging.

Pasta Dinner:
        The Ellerbe Springs Inn and Restaurant will have an all-u-can-eat salad bar and pasta bar on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.  The cost is $9.99 {children 10 and under $4.99} and includes beverage (except beer) and dessert.   No reservations are required and you can pay at the dinner.  Do not send money for the dinner with your race registration.  I
f you plan on eating the pre-race dinner call the Ellerbe Springs Inn at 1-800-248-6467 or 910-652-5600 so they can get an accurate number for the dinner.

Packet Pick-up:
        Packets may be picked up at the Spring House on Friday night from 6:00 until 8:00.  Late registration will also be accepted.  Packet pick-up and race day registration will be from 7:00 until 7:30 on Saturday morning.

Awards, Shirts & Medallions:
        Pottery awards created by Terry and Vivian Hunt of Cross Creek Pottery in Seagrove, NC.  Awards go to the top 3 overall male and female, to the first master, grandmaster, and senior grandmaster male and female, and to the top 3 male and female in the following age groups: 24 and under, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over. There will be no duplication of awards. No awards will be mailed.

Shirts and medallions are for finishers only and will be awarded immediately after the finish line.   Anyone completing his or her 5th Ellerbe will be awarded a special long sleeve shirt with “5-year veteran” down the sleeve.  To be eligible for the special 5-year shirt you must pre-register by the February 27 deadline.

Those who complete their 10th Ellerbe will be assigned a permanent number for all future Ellerbe Springs Marathons.  A framed commemorative number for display will be mailed to the 10-year finishers shortly after the event.
