Registration:
        The race field will be limited to the first 125 runners.  We will be accepting entries at the Mt. Pleasant Church Friday night from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.  Shirts will only be ordered based on the number of pre-registered runners.  There will be a few extra shirts but late registrants are not guaranteed a finisher shirt or a specific size shirt.  There should be plenty of medals.
 

Early registration will be $65.00 until March 16th.
Registration fee is $85.00 after the 16th of March.

THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Runners bib numbers will be given out race morning
by the Vac-N-Dash timing crew.

Course Description:
        It is a loop starting and finishing near the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.  It is a USATF certified course #NC13006DF and a Boston qualifier.  Everything is a paved rural state roads running by many farms and large tracks of uninhabited woodland.  Most runners consider this a hilly course.  There are 8 aid stations at approximately 3-4 mile intervals.  The farthest distance between any aid station will be 4.5 miles.  Station 1 will be water only.  All other stations will have water and an electrolyte drink.  The turns are marked with large yellow arrows and it is your responsibility to see them.

Accommodations:
        Camping is available on the grounds at the Mt. Pleasant Community building.  Other accommodations are available in Rockingham (12 miles away).  Call 1-800-858-1688 for information about other lodging.

Friday Pasta Dinner:
The Friday dinner will be conducted at the Mt. Pleasant Church in the fellowship hall.  It will be conducted 6:00pm until 8:00 pm.  The cost of the dinner will $8.00 per person.  The money goes to the Mt. Pleasant community for their needs.

Packet Pick-up:
        Packets may be picked at the Mt. Pleasant Church on Friday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.  Late registration will also be accepted.  Packet pick-up will also be from 7:00am until 7:30am on Saturday morning at the community building. There will not be any race day registration.

Post Race Meal:
The post race meal will be conducted at the Mt. Pleasant Community building.  Chicken and dumplings, slaw, drink and bread.  The post race meal is free to runners and volunteers.  It will be $8.00 for all others.  Please no alcohol on the premises.  Runners, your bib number is your ticket for food which needs to be seen by the kitchen crew.

Awards, & Medallions:
        Pottery awards go to the top 3 overall male and female, and to the top 3 male and female in the following age groups: 24 and under, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over. There will be no duplication of awards. No awards will be mailed.

Medallions are for finishers only and will be awarded immediately after the finish line.   Anyone completing his or her 5th Ellerbe will be awarded a special long sleeve shirt with “5-year veteran” down the sleeve.  To be eligible for the special 5-year shirt you must pre-register by the March 16 deadline.
